chip and Exhaust for 968?

The only thing proven to give hp and torque improvements is a Unichip, which is a programmable piggyback ECU, that is dyno tuned to your car. You get small gains, up 5-9% across the board, but it's around $1500 installed.

Agent, 968s have a very small market, hence the lack of high performance products. Unichip is basically like any other piggyback system available in the market that tweaks the signal into the computer to fool it and provide additional ignition and fuel. These maps are created on the dyno, so they fine tune the setup to extract maximum gains.
Most of these piggybacks run in the $400-600 range and with additional dyno tuning, one should be able to duplicate the results like a unichip.
Exhausts don't seem to help much either but add sound which can fool one into thinking their cars are faster.
So far, the only way besides Unichip has been forced induction but it can easily run 10-15 times the cost of the Unichip but you net double your hp/tq at minimum.
2 ways to force induction:
1: Supercharging, costs approx $10k installed and should net 75-100hp/tq gain.
2: Turbocharging, costs atleast $20K plus when done properly and should net 200-300hp/tq gain depending on what boost you are running.
Regards.
