Default Door Latch Adjustment.. 944

Ok I have the interior panel off. I've lubed everything. All I need to do is to twist the little plastic adjustor to fix the non door opening from the outside problem... It looks like an 1/16th will do it. Now here's the problem.. I can't figure out how to unhook the little plastic adjustor thingie from the rod it's attached to .. I can clearly see how to lengthen the rod to push the latch to open the door, but I can't see how to disconnect the works to adjust the rod... Will the adjustor end come off the rod it pushes or does it come apart a different way...

the easiest way ive found is if you look in the back of the door handle itself, there is a tiny little "pin" that holds the pivot onto the back of it. Push that out and the whole rod stays attached to the door. Sometimes its a bi@#h to get back together correctly, just dont rush and be careful not to scratch the door!
