1987 944 NA
purchased in July 2013, ~120K miles
multi owner, rebuilt engine, new clutch, new paint but poorly done, new tires. lots of little things wrong but nothing too bad, fixed it all myself.
Price: I traded $2500, an AR-15 lower and a '98 BMW 323is with 200K miles. nothing like a little bartering...
Knowing what I know now about the cars, I paid way too much.
All and all, I have about $7500 in it but I am pretty happy with it, it is my hobby. I have driven it about 50 miles nearly every day since I got it, runs great

1988 944 Base, 135,XXX K, black interior nearly perfect, original red paint pitting pretty badly, mechanically OK but with slow oil leak at cam housing and slow radiator leak. Hits 125 with no wobble/vibration... Purchased May 17th 2013, However some things have gone south since then... $2,800

$1,600. and everything is pretty much broken. but its ok.. It runs like a champ. I drive the hell out of it. show these ricers who their daddy is. haha. I have major plans for it. its nickname is the deathtrap! because I needed to rebuild the ball joints. but once those were done she rides so smooth.
