Decided on a low to mid height for the wing. Built these uprights. Need to make endplates. also managed to salvage a broken turbo car rear diffuser and adapt it to work.

Wow that was fast. Nice progress. Where did you get that wing? Cf or just lookalike?

Brother, to answer your question, the wing is not CF and it's was bought on ebay and was $100 delivered. It was advertised as real CF. Its 57" wide. The brackets are meant to sit on a trunk/boot lid. I modified them to bolt on the body and made the uprights. The top pic gives you an idea of height. Wings work better (for downforce) higher & wider than Wilson is rocking, but this is better for a street car with little to no splitter.

Also seen the diffuser had 4 section ripped out, so I filled with epoxy then drilled through.

Last night started building SPA mirror brackets. Mounting these is a pain because of the old holes & mounts in the doors.

Spa racing mirrors are installed. Wish I never had to mount them to the panels, but it is what it is. I like the mirrors.

Hood pins installed. Happy with how the hood looks underneath. Had to massage the front fenders a bit. They are NA fenders modified for the turbo front end, but it's not perfect. Anyway, onward and upward... its time to start back working on the power plant, and get the engine running. I have my work cut out for me: engine management and exhaust, and I'm not happy with the charge air intercooler situation.

I'm considering running without an intercooler.
Something like one of these 968 photos. Remember, my turbo is pretty massive but I'm only going to run enough power for the NA clutch to still handle it (like 220hp?), then next year I'll turn it into stage 2 and definitely run an intercooler. What do you guys think?
Even at stage one with like 5-10 psi I'll be using meth injection and a knock sensor. Also, the pistons are 8:1 951 units.
Or I can run long *** intercooler pipes until I can fit the right intercooler into the car.
The 951 cooler won't fit because of tubular the cross member I welded in.

Well with a little wrenching last night I tweeked a few things. Does this seem inline with what all you turbo guys are running?

Okay in the true spirit of my "ebay turbo kit" build, tonight I was indeed able to finalize on running the front mount intercooler that came with my kit. The 2.5" diameter pipes are crazy long, so I expect it'll be somewhat laggy but it is what it is (for now).

Finished the "baller on a budget" GT headlight conversion. Just need to make lenses. And then was able to just barely fit the stage 2 intercooler behind the nose panel. This was previously impossible when the oem hood support bridge type sheet metal crossmember was in place, but since it's gone, no I got room. This means reasonable length cooler pipes!
