Just got a new 968cs wheel to put on the car. When I succeeded in removing the horn pad to install the wheel, I broke three out of four tabs that hold it in place (blue). I attempted to use jb weld, let it cure for 3 days, but it failed immediately. Does anyone know if you can get just the plastic part marked red? Part number would be amazing. I do not want to buy a whole new horn pad.

That part separate isn't listed in PET so maybe take it off and see if it has a part number on the other side of it?
Second option is to buy a new horn pad. $75 here: https://www.sonnenporscheoemparts.co...968347059008yr
I know you didn't want the second option but even if they did sell that back part separate it'd probably be just as much as the whole horn pad.

Wrong product, jb weld is an epoxy and plastic has no free molecule for the bond like trying to use epoxy resin on polyester.
Somewhere on the piece there will be a triangular symbol with a lettered resin identification inside the triangle.
You can weld the pieces back on with a soldering gun and a "like" plastic with the same resin ID.
The plastic of a laundry detergent bottle should be compatible but check that the symbols are a match first.

Maybe printing new piece could be an option too.

Atiwe has the piece and their willing to sell, just don't have a price yet. I'm going to try soldering it back together this weekend, I've got nothing to lose at this point.

Does anyone have a good option to ship from Germany to the US? DHL quote is $65.00 plus the cost of goods, Fed-ex was over $200.. To add, the company is concerned they're going to get into Customs issues if they don't declare the piece, therefore increasing costs again. It's looking like it might be better to buy a new horn pad.. urgh.
I tried melting it back together with a soldering iron, 2 of the 3 are holding, but it's loose.

And for anyone in the future that does what I did..
Part #: 100 498 F60 101
Made by FVD Brombacher, ordered from Pelican. It's for the 930 wheel that is very similar to the 968cs wheel, so it will hopefully work.

My 968 CS wheel should be here next week, sorry for your troubles but a timely warning for me to be careful with it!
Is there a good method for removing the pad to make sure you don't break the clips? I might look into reinforcing them when I get it.

If you get that pad to me I can ship it to you for $5.
I also use reshipping service in germany which should work for you too. https://www.mailboxde.com
Btw: I've removed my hornpad without any caution lots of times and nothing broke, you probably got that part from brittle batch or something.

Another option is to make a metal plate with spring steel tabs to replace the plastic tabs. Drill and tap the plastic to attach ( some M4 bolts would be fine). This would not be difficult to make, is inexpensive, and would last a long time. Just saying...
