Question 100,000 Mile Servicing, What else should I do?

Well it's fast approaching the 100k mile mark and I plan on doing a few preventive maintenance items. Belts for sure, repack CV joints, check/repack wheel berings, oil/filter change of course, plugs, air filter, clean injectors and new seals.
So far since I have had the car for 15 months I have replaced the plug wires, thermo switch, shift lever, starter, tie rods and ends, front brake pads, couple water hoses, done the oil cooler seals, hood and hatch gas struts, a few minor cosmetic replacement parts, door handles, I guess thats about it so far. I do have a bad ball joint on the right side, got a new one, hope to put it on either today or Thursday, house projects keeping me busy, the left had already been replaced. I have flushed the cooling system and also have some "super blue" brake fluid to change the brake fluid during the service. The car had had the belts and H2O pump replace bout a year or so before I got it, but no records.
Guess thats about all I can think of. Oh yes do have a set of "turbo" sway bars to put on when I get the brackets.
Any think else anyone can think of that ought to be looked at?

Thanks.
Bill

Fuel filter. Replace both ball joints. On the 83 it's a piece of cake! Get a carbide drill bit to cut through the rivets. Check and see if the steering link u-joints are worn. This is between the steering column shaft and the steering rack. If you lightly move the steering wheel back and forth you may feel a loose spot of 1/16" to 1/4" before you even move the input shaft on the steering rack. You can see this too. Look behind the brake booster.

Dump the trans lube and replace with synthetic. Take the filler plug out first because you may not be able to take the drain plug out. These are 17 mm socket head plugs. Get the 3/8" drive tool for the job.

Thanks SoCal,
Forgot all about the fuel filter. Yea, probably should replace both ball joints, the left one has previously been replaced, already has bolts in it, so would be a piece of cake to replace. Also tranny fluid, forgot that one too.
What kind of oil do most of the people here use?

Thanks again,
Bill

I'm trying Mobil One 20-50. Why? Because it's half the price of Pennz at Sam's Club.

Use a MAHLE filter too. Has the proper check valve in it for the 944 mounting style.

What the hell, do the valve guides. They are most likely worn out at 100,000. Every 944 head I've seen were worn past 50k.
