Mmmmmm, Talbot Mirrors. My dad had some similar mirrors on his Jag XK140. Some english manufacturer and they looked much nicer than the original round flags.

yeah, british bullet mirrors/talbot are the same style. alot of british sports cars, and german racers used them in the 50's/early 60's. the gulwing MB had em, as well as most of the MB racers, so did alot of the 356 racers, some 550's, the 911R came with talbot mirrors (a lil different in style though, as they had a longer arm).

i think they will add a 'period correct outlaw' look to the car, so its still a bit off the cuff and different, but still not an updated look either. now all i need are some minilite wheels (which wee used on mini's and other british sports cars, as well as early 911 race cars!), some speedster headlight grills to go with my 65-67 headlights (very similir to 356 headlights with some small exceptions.. so the grills will fit).. hmmm.. i could have all except the minilites by spring (id rather keep the polished fuchs anyways for right now)

well i was gonna lower it this winter anyways..

oh well i think it will look cool, just wait til i unveil her this spring!!

Pretty cool, Hoffman! Definately a different look without going to updated stuff. Love your car, man...

You know you can still get minilight's, there now all alloy instead of mag/alloy but they are available off the shelf in many different sizes, also I have no idea what rhw 912 stud pattern is but the 2.0 924 is the exact stud pattern and off set as UK RWD fords. I'm guessing that yours is like the early 944's, if so I believe the SDi rover and P6 rover V8's had the same 5 stud spacing, if so both those came with 15 inch minilights as well. for the mirrors like your looking for try Europa, don't know if they have a site, there in the UK and supply to Jag ect. they will be a lot cheaper.

http://www.superlite-wheels.com/ may also be an option, and the other site is just having photo's uploaded, there at www.banks-europa.co.uk I'll see if speedshack have any photo's of there bullet mirrors as they are almost the same and were £60 for the pair.

Custom glass faces for the early gauges also greatly approve teh appearance. FR Wilk had some made up several years ago but there has been no mention of them in 2-3 years at least. We also have yellow lettering. Swapped the tach and speedometer as the speedo is so far off as to be ludicrous and we drive by the tach anyway. Some like it, some don't. Hard to get the speedo properly aligned due to cable length.

Jim, check the link I posted above. They already have quality replacement gauge faces for the early 944 and can even do custom faces.
