something anyone can work on?
for 1/4 of the price?

what kind of a fool would buy it?
maybe a hotrodder at heart who wants something to make the purists look silly slow?

....lest we not forget that Matt H. worships at the shrine of Dr. Porsche! Maybe one of the people from Matt's previous poll (on the V8 conversion idea) will buy it, after all, roughly 36% thought a V8 swap was an OK idea.
See that car on the left? V8.....yeah.....

$12K is a good deal for a clean conversion. I am sure there is (or should be) a market for it.
I still think about, well, never mind . .

Default Note to Untier

....do you get the impression that Matt might be slightly miffed at us?

BTW- for the record. Black Forrest has a good reputation and I dont doubt this car will be nice. While I stand 100% against it, at 12K this is probably a steal. You could not duplicate this conversion (unless you fabbed EVERYTHING yourself) for that amount of money. Whether I like it or not is, obviously, irrelevant. The cost of the mods alone is near that 12K mark, then you have the cost of the car and it is a late.

There are a lot of things more suitable to get upset over.

I agree with Matt mostly on this. In terms of the price, i'd rather have a stock 951 with some miles or even that Callaway 944 Turbo that was posted awhile back in Boston.

What kind of weight dist. does that V8 have? I'm guessing its not the perfectly balanced 50/50 anymore that makes these cars so much fun IMHO....

2960 on the scale, 52/48.
gained 130 lbs.
front big blacks and rear turbo calipers, blue and braided. stops with the best of them.?
renegades conversion runs about 2 k, i bought a wreck, sold everything else, made more than i spent and kept the motor for free.
car was like matts when purchased for 4 k. :-) hmmm, thats only 6 k so far. did eveything else myself/son at home in garage. ive truly had every rolling part off/out of the car, id like to see these purist remove torsion bars and reindex them.
