Take them off the car, p21s gel if they're really bad, clean them then wax them. The wax will make them a lot easier to keep clean.

well, what i do is first use a power washer to get em wet, and to get off all the dirt and crud (a hose with your thumb over half the opening creating some preasure will work too). then i spray em with griots garage wheel cleaner http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....1002&SKU=11106

and i let the wheel cleaner sit there, soak and do its work, while i clean the rest of the car. then when im done cleaning the car, i go back scrub it with a soft brush (so as not to scratch my polished fuchs), and a tooth brush in the tight areas i cant get with the other brush.. then i hit it with the high powered washer again, then dry the car off. if its really bad (and im talkin super bad), and dosent come clean the 1st time, ill just do it all over again. ive never come across a car that needs it more than once though.. even my daily driver whose wheels hadnt really been cleaned in 5 years.

just a very happy customer.

Listen to the advice about waxing the wheels and using good cleaner. Once the wheels have a nice layer of wax, they clean much easier. It also protect the finish and helps the finish last longer.

Some of their stuff is not cheap, but its top shelf. P21S is pretty mild. You may need to attack it with other stuff too. Half the battle is having the right tools (brushes). I need to order some Griots interior cleaner. Its good stuff.

Aside from all the good advice, D90s are just a pain to keep clean as it is. They have too many nooks and crannies. Since switching the 951 to C2Ts with 5 rounded spokes and big wide openings, keeping them clean is a cinch compared to the D90s.
