Default Value of a pristine guards red 944

What is a reasonable asking price for a pristine 1986 944 (non turbo) with 31,500 miles?

The car will need a new timing belt and other minor parts such as hoses, etc. I am the original owner and the car has been covered and garage kept for 31 years. No accidents.

This car has a timing belt that was replaced, but not recently; and other minor parts such as hoses, etc. I am the original owner and the car has been covered and garage kept for 31 years. No accidents.

Those look like the original factory sheepskin seat covers from the dealership accessories brochure back in the 1980’s. Very rare.

I took delivery of my 1987 930 with coco brown sheepskins. Lined, beautiful and very very nice.

Found them cleaning the garage they other day.

One Million Dollars!
On second thought, maybe not a full ticket.

I think 10 large would be a reasonable buying price. It is a 30 year old car.
As for asking price, maybe 15 large?

I think that car would trade hands for about $10,000 +- if it is a manual. Not sure there is much interest if it is an automatic.

The problem with too high of an asking price is people will just pass on the ad because a reasonable offer may be considered a lowball. The problem with too low of an asking price is you screwed yourself. That's where a place like eBay, or an auction house that promotes the car comes in handy. If there are enough pictures, details of work done, and of course stress the one owner history in an eBay auction, it may surprise us and be a record.
