Had to mod the brackets a bit for clearance, but overall pretty dreamy.
The new lay back of the seats is far more comfortable than the upright position Wilson had before.

Dad asked what colour Wilson will be. Answer: VW 97 Silver.
Started on the steering extension by disassembly of a torn leather hand me down later wheel.
Need to build an adapter for my "flip up" hub and Momo wheel.

What a great way to end the wkd... Combined aftermarket and an old Porsche steering wheel. The fabricated steel adapter works beautiful. I'm very proud.

This is one of the most interesting videos and very high production quality... representing my dream job. I'd love to be an endurance rally car racer. This race in Africa is very appealing.
Classic cars, beautiful rugged landscape... combined with the "unknown" factors that accompany Rally.

Extension pedals. Tried making some sweet adjustable cromoly units but the welding didn't take, so made some beefy square tubing ones. Sadly these will not be adjustable. FTW!

Tacked the 3 inch pedal extensions in place. Absolutely perfect. Still need to make a gas pedal extension. Built and welded the handbrake bracket. A good day in the Wilson racing garage. The shift lever needs to be sorted tomorrow... am hoping I can use this shifter ball.

Indeed good sir, I will add a little something. I do heel toe with the factory set up but it's an extra effort I'd like to delete. After deliberation and experimentation, I have decided to reuse the oem gas pedal and drilled out these 3 areas for an aluminum platform to be added on top.

Measuring the 2 other pedals... they have moved rearward 3", so I welded a 3" rod extension to the linkage before it meets the pedal.
Then the 2 mounting bolts will of course have to be moved 3" rearward, and for this I'll drill 2 holes & install these threaded inserts. The problem is there is a circular panel in the floor that these will go into and I suspect it's only held in with 30 year old seal seal, so I'll have to install a very thin reinforcement panel just in case.

I'm gonna steal your pedal fab idea. You've been warned.
