I miss driving

Growing up in Edmonton I was always "social" like my Mom. Friends were of the highest priority. Later I joined clubs mainly for the activity, but with that comes the reliance on others to help complete my experience.
It became apparent to me that I emotionally wasn't strong enough to sustain happiness on a solo basis.
Then moving away from my hometown forced me to become more solo in my personal time. This was good for me. And this is where my old car "Wilson" and I connected.

My favourite thing about Wilson is he is like "mans best friend", a dog that wakes when you wake & just wants to be where you are and do what you do!

Highly intelligent people tend to be in their own thoughts but some misconstrue that as being a 'loner'.
I stopped and got a double shot macchiato in Hurricane NC yesterday running back roads up to my kids house to work on his mono-wiper and tandem steering/suspension pump. The owner/barista asked what I was up to today and returned an odd look when I answered, 'driving'

Hey Noah,
Nice to see you posting again !
By the way , that nice ported head i bought from you is now a boat anchor ... blew up my engine big time at Tremblant at the Summer Classic race and created
a nice aeration hole in my block.
Hope all is well with you !

Thank you very much for the kind words & support guys.. I stopped working on Wilson because I got burnt out, fed up & was no longer being productive. Tonight was the first time I worked on it in months. Felt good actually. Phil, I'm really sorry to read about your green race car. That sucks brother!
I'm hoping I can adjust the back end up another .5" or so with the eccentric bolt.

Maybe you should have not sold the 924, you would still have had a similar car to drive and practice driving while you build the 944...or maybe keept the 924 for the rougher roads and make the 944 into a smooth road driver.

Brother, "Gramps" handled the gravel nicely... I think maybe the skinny tires helped. But honestly I haven't regretted saying goodbye to that car, not even for a moment! Good Riddance Gramps.

Yea, unfortunately it was a haunted car because of the PO "restoring" it...but you sold it as a fixed and running car as I remember.
Do you know what happened to it? is the guy using it? how does he like it?
Good luck with the 944 build, I hope you get it running soon.

Noah,
We all know those cars are lifetime projects anyways ... it's nice to take a break once in a while !
As for the race car , i already have two complete $500.00 engines which i will be tearing down over the Winter in order to build
a solid "stock " race engine for next season !
I'll send you some pics of my build as it progresses, but you'll have to keep it secret ... lol
Anyhow, i'm glad you're fine !
