This is a pic. of one of the sunvisors in my early '85
944. It certainly feels like there is a mirror under the cutout as you can feel a frame and a hard rectangular surface within the frame. However, once I cut, that's that... What say the experts?

I have left mine uncut that I bought new, OR that I got later which 'lot boy' hadn't yet vandalized.
Those 944s I do have that were cut before I bought the cars, have a bit of a problem with the flap staying closed. ( the cut ones don't go all the way around, but 3/4 of the way to allow for closure )

The mirrors are nearly useless.
Leave it; the mystique is worth more in it's virgin form
