Sorry, those are all I have. Did you click on the thumbnails? Some are high res and some aren't. Has anyone seen a #14 technical ad?

Better still someone got it where they can convert it to PDF.
Not all PDF's are smaller than the original images. Having PDF'd the 924 manuals I can attest to a serious trial and error to reduce the larges 600 dpi scans into smaller jpegs then into the final PDF's. Of course I'm really demanding that you can print the pages from these PDF's and be able to read them unlike some of the 944 PDF's I've come across.

The minimum that you would want to scan and save to jpegs is 200 dpi. Even then you need to isolate the half toned pictures and smooth them out. In Paint Shop Pro the tool is the Moire' Pattern Removal command.

PDF's are convenient when you have multiple pages and you use the indexing. Makes a simple package. I use the Adobe tool to compile mine.

As I know I would love to have scanned and PDF'd copies of these out of print articles I will offer my services to anyone that wants to send me these adds. You will get your add back and copies of the adds others have sent in for your trouble. You pay postage both ways and I'll throw in the blank CDR.

I would love to have some original sales brochures too. I have one for the 83 that I've PDF'd. Also some of the original late 70's 924 adds that got me started with my 944 addiction.

I don't get it- I responded last night about the slow downloading- but, my response is NOT here....???? That's happened to me a few times lately.... I am on basic cable- Knoxville is supposedly a beta testing city for a faster cable sservice, so I supposedly have a little faster than most- but STILL shouldn't be as fast as T1- anyway- it came right up for me- no waiting at all- might have been timing, but, since it seems they've been downloaded now, I guess this point is moot....

Anyway- Ad #14- anyone? I would love to have the full set- maybe someone will have it & complete the set of 951Tom- thanks BTW- at least we have all but one.... I only had one or two of those before anyway, so almost ALL of them are new to me....

So- anyone? #14???

Great ad. I have it in an 8x11 framed in my bedroom along with some other Porsche ads and photos.

SoCal - it was my hope that by converting to PDF it would be readable.

There is some truth to that. The PDF conversion does smooth a few things out but doesn't seem to resurrect a low rez scan. I see PDF files that are about 40 to 50 k larger than the image files that make it up. Think this is the tagged on display program much like the self extractor for compressed files.

The best way to reduce the size of a PDF file is to convert the image text to word processor text and make up text/image pages for compiling.
