Oh, and it has to be 1.5 x 0.120 if I'm to do it. The only size I'm set up for is 1.5".

Where are you going to run your "down" bars from the cage to the front of the floor? Through the AC vent I imagine?
July could work. Or even possibly before then.

I have the down tubes running to the rockers. They will not go through the vents because I have them attaching a few inches behind the forward door openning. I could adjust for through the vents though, but it will encroach upon your legs and the floor of the 944 is like a cheap pie tin. VERY flexible.

I dont want it to go there, just assumed it would have to. Can you tell Brian how much material is needed, maybe we can buy enough to do his and mine.

Obviously, I did not make it out to the party. My little one had her tonsils out, and was not up to a trip to Houston. At any rate, I do need to retension the belts. Beer and lunch if you can make it out here before 4 Jan. If this is possible, let me know. 409 553 8922

Hope she's feeling better by Christmas. Poor thing.

I should be able to make it. My schedule is pretty open I think. Kerry is walking a marathon on the 1st. Perhaps I can make it on the 2nd or 3rd. Love to see you again.

BTW, still want the spare and hold-down?

I can probably give you a pretty good idea. We'll have to remeasure a few things since your cars are not stripped. Also be aware of the dangers of welding a cage inside a car with a full interior. You may want to consider a bolt-in. That said, we may even be able to create a cage as a bolt-in.

For my car a bolt-in is the only option I'd entertain.

George, how many feet of that tube did you get? Quantity will play a part in the cost when I make some calls.

I'm pretty certain I bought (11) 20' (approx) sections. I planned on 100' per car with 25% overrun and one 20' length for tooling and practice. Figure about 75' for a street car bolt-in cage. I'm going to have a lot of extra bracing you won't want in a road car. I'm going to use modified X braces on the sides, an X brace on the rear support tubes, extra tubes from the bottom of the rear support tubes to the center of the cross bar of the main hoop, a dash bar. Actually, 75' per car is likely to be generous on a road car.

Yeah, my wife drives it every once in a while, I doubt an weld in would be her first choice!

Yes! I am glad you remembered. The second or third sounds good. Second, is better for me. Just let me know. 409 553 8922
