Don't take this too personally, but what is your opinion on having a turbo badge on a non-turbo car?

I'm thinking no, but that's me.

Yes. OR 928 GTS. OR 89 944 Turbo in the US. Apparently the options were different in Europe as Thom pointed out to me.

Hmmmm.... look in his signature, hes from UK (England), Thats europe.

There is almost no US spec car in europe, since they are wery seldom interresting, since spec. is usual better for the euro spec.

btw: The car in background is known as FORD KA in my country

Guys, guys,

Cut me some slack here....this is how the car was bought! Well, actually, I swapped my old 928 for it.

The car will be gradually improved as funds and time allow. The improvements will be used as base material for a series of articles in our bi-monthly club magazine - All Torque - which is the organ of the UK Porsche club - The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club.

It is meant to be a rolling project to be improved and borought back to good condition....as far as the turbo badge is concerned, gee..it's only a badge added by the PO.....and it winds my neighbour up so it was worth keeping it on for today (yep, just picked the beast up on Friday).

Your right about the car in the background. That's my wifes Ford Ka which has the official Ford 'sport pack' - see, they can play money games just like Porsche - which means lowered and firmer suspension, alloy wheels, wider low profile tyres, a colour keyed rear spoiler and...well, that's it. Still, the cars a grin around the twisty back roads of Sussex (England)...but I wouldn't tell her that :-)

I'd post more pictures if I could work out how!

regards

Jon

Don't worry about it! Just giving our first impressions...very nice looking car by the way, and if it really bugs your neighbour I say keep the badge for now
Can't wait to see it restored!

You swapped a 928 for a 944! How dare you !

Hope your S works better than mine!
