I have no personal comparison data between the S2 and V1 although the S2 has proved to be adequate 4 out of 4 times so far. I have a friend with a V1, after using the S2 for a while I may arrange to trade for a few days to compare. But I am very happy with the S2. Personally I prefer the lack of cord to a few tenths of a mile earlier detection.

Does anyone have a Bel? How do you like it?
Also, if you (me) don't have much (any) money, what would some of you suggest in terms of best detector for the money (aka not top of the line)?
