Hi,
my left rear schock is making a clacking noise over bumps. Are these shocks rebuildable? If yes, is it worth the cost. The shock is a Boge.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure they aren't rebuildable. The rear shocks aren't that expensive (at least here in the states), so it makes sense to just buy a new set. Koni yellow adjustables (the most expensive and best you can get, at least if you want the most performance oriented shocks) I think are like $116 apiece in the rear from paragon products. The fronts are the really expensive shocks, so just hope those last.

Thanks,
the Boge shock was less than three years old. I wonder if I can get away with just replacing the bad one. Don't think I can live eith the noise it makes. Shocks in NZ are expensive. I am just getting the clutch master cylinder resleved and a rebuilt steering rack installed, so money is a bit tight at the moment.
Cheers,
Alex

I have a fairly new set of Red Koni's on my 944. They were NOS and I put maybe a thousand miles on them. The paint is kind of flacking off, but they work fine.
I also have the old yellow ones that I want to put back on, only because I have the yellows on the front.
The red ones can go out to you if you want them. I know how it is when money is tight, so if you cover the shipping, I would be happy.
Let me know - email me off list.
