Recently had brake pads replaced and rotors turned. Returned to repair shop to have noise diagnose.
Mechanic pulled pads and replaced. During initial servicing I also had clutch parts removed and
installed. I don’t think the problem is the clutch work but wanted to share.
The noise starts after driving a short distance when applying brakes. Can anyone suggest other possibilities
on what else to check?

fresh pads/rotors do make some noise until they are bedded. google the bedding procedure...30 to 5 mph X times, 50 to 10 x times ect
most cars have an intermediate plate or vibration damper between the piston and the backing plate of the pad

On my 968 it was the pads binding slightly in the driver's side caliper. Hitting the edges of the steel brake pad back plate to knock off the burrs (that were painted-over) cured it. Symptom (besides the squealing) was that the new pads didn't drop right into the calipers and had to be persuaded.
