Default OT: ebay question

I'm selling a set of 951 fans on ebay. I have the reserve too high and want to lower it. I would be happy selling for the bid I have that is below the reserve. Can I go back in and change the reserve after getting bids???

I do not believe you are allowed to do that. Instead contact the user themselves and ask if they wish to purchase it for that price and tell them that you will let them buy it for their current bid.

IIRC, I bid on an auction a while ago where the reserve was lowered after the bidding was started, even gon a notice from ebay about the change.

Yeah, there is a way to do it, but I'm not sure how, and I'm not sure about the rules, so you may only be able to lower it to just above the highest bid. Not sure, but if that is the case you could always tell the bidder to bid $1 more and say that you'll give it to him for cheaper. The only problem is, when people start doing weird stuff like that on ebay it looks suspicious. If you have a good number of positive feedback you should be OK.

You also can end the auction early and sell it to the highest Bidder.
