Default Fuel Injectors

My mechanic pulled my fuel injectors and sent them to a shop for testing. I had them tested because my fuel economy has been brutal (just under 9 mpg last tank). I've posted about the fuel economy previously, but the injectors seem to be off topic, so I decided to go with a new thread. I just spoke with the service writer, and he says the shop testing the injectors says the resistance on all 4 injectors is under 1 ohm, and spec is 3.5 to 5 ohms. I know nothing about the injectors, but I'm taking his word for it and looking for replacements. Any suggestions or info anyone can pass along would be appreciated. Aside from an A-Tune and 3" exhaust, my car is essentially stock and likely to stay that way.

that doesnt make any sense unless there is somehow an internal short in the injector in which case i don't think it'd work at all.

951 injectors should be 4.5-5.5 ohms.

Or, someone before you put in different injectors. Check the part number and post it here. Bosch injectors have impedances all over the place, the stock 951 injectors are actually the weird ones. Going lower Z than stock could cause excessive heat/current through the injector driver, which is expecting higher impedance.

I'll drop by my mechanic's and check the part number. I think these are the original injectors. My mpg problem has been getting worse over time. The injectors gradually failing makes sense to me, but I have essentially zero knowledge about them and could be completely wrong. At least it's a part I won't mind having new, regardless of the outcome.

If you're getting 9 MPG, and it's the injectors I'd expect some some other significant symptoms... Like over-full oil, or lots of black smoke, or unresponsive throttle... I think it's more likely that you have a leak, as opposed to a dead injector. Most of the dead injectors I see have something clogging them so there's less fuel flow.
