Yes, I plan to make fittings that will fit the ports just like the factory hoses do. I plan to have -8 and -10 AN available. Let me know which size you might be interested in.

My judgement would be to match the ID size on the existing hoses to the closest size in AN hoses. I doubt that bigger hose ID size than original is required or useful in this case,as I am guessing that the cooler itself is the source of most of the resistance in the system. If it turns out that AN8 meets these requirements (ID = 0.44") , that would be my preference, as it is lighter, cheaper and easier to fit, That said, I do not want to go smaller in ID, so if AN10 is required to match (ID = 0.56") , that also works

The problem is that I do not know what is the ID of the existing hoses? I am wondering if someone in the community has a set of hoses out of the car that they can measure the ID?

I am hooked on Goodridge Super-Flex Braided PTFE hose and hose ends, as it is so much easier to use in tight spaces than standard AN hose. This hose also has a slightly bigger ID for the same AN size, so a little bonus in flow characteristics (but it is certainly not cheap ).
AN8 ID = 0.50"
AN10 ID = 0.63"

I went with the same solution of brazing on some JIC fittings to the stock tubes. It's pretty easy, but takes a bit more time and work than a plug in solution.

Following...

Any reason why you guys didn't just cut the old swage off and reuse the barbs as a straight barb with clamp? Pressure concerns?

pressure no problem for a hose clamp, but space is tight and clamps take up more room than crimps.

nice thing about JIC is that you can get your lines rebuilt ANYWHERE when needed because JIC is a universal standard for hydraulic equipment.
hell, i brazed JIC male ends onto my AC fittings so i could easily remove/replace the hoses in 20 years...lol

Yeah, clamps would probably work fine. I had those fittings on the ends of the old lines and I wanted to reuse them.

I finally got around and made the prototype.
Turned out well. They are -12 and have identical ID to the stock line and housing ports. They seal against the housing the same way as the stock lines by utilizing the OEM o-rings.
They fit S2 and 968 filter consoles.

The oil cooler adapter in -12 size is available for sale.
I carry the adapters for the oil cooler side as well.
PM or email if interested in placing an order.
