Not sure if you guys are aware, but front and rear swaybars sizes on the M030 951 were standard on the non M030 968. Also, the rear shocks on the standard non M030 were just as stiff as the M030 951 rear shocks. Only difference was that the fronts on a M030 951 had adjustability but non M030 968s didn't.
Based on that info, a stock non M030 968 will handle as close to a M030 951 and a M030 968 will outhandle a M030 951.
Hope that helps.
Not sure if you can supercharge under $10K and that is without lowering the compression. Lowering the compression will add atleast $3-4K to that price. All you get is 6-7psi max, is it worth the money? You decide!

hmmmm my 951S with M030 definitely handles a LOT better than the 968 Cab that has the stock suspension set up.... both have new Yokohama tires (AVS on the 951S and ES100 on the 968) and same size 17" rims. Almost identical mileage on both too.

There is no way my stock 968 can keep up to my stock M030 951S on the track. Maybe I'll swap the tires sometime and see if the 968 handles any better.

And on the street, the 968 is a nice cushy ride compared to the 951S. Anyone else who owns both care to comment??

Hmm...comparing the handling of a coupe to handling of a cab?

And the coupe has better tires, too. Just doesn't sound like the right comparison...

I have so much problems with the 951 that if i choose, I'll pick the 968 coupe w/M030. ... do a 3.0L Turbo.

Well, the 968 is heavier than a 951, especially my 86 with 89M030 suspension under it, so as you move up in weight, you have to make the suspension stiffer/stronger to keep the same level of roll, etc. that you had in the lighter car. Doesn't mean that it handles the same, just that it's a heavier car and needed something a bit stronger under there to help deal with the weight.

Almost no cab will ever feel as tight as a coupe.....

I have driven a 968 (and videotaped the drive, but this was in like 1995 when a brand new black 928GTS was being sold at the local dealership....tried to get a test drive in that....) but it's been so long that I don't remember how it felt to the 951 precisely, but both felt similar from my recollection as far as handling, but the 951 on boost definitely gives a different feeling.....mmmm.....boost.
