Default Thinking of selling my 944 for an 85/86 928..thoughts

I have an 86 944 na which I love but I would like to get something a little more unique. I love the efficiency and handling of the 944 and dont really want to sell it so Id like to hear your guy's opinions. 944 vs. 928

Repair bills and parts pricing on 928 will sure make you feel unique
Didn't you just get your 4?
There's plenty of people here who have experience with sharks, good luck on the decision

I have a pretty good experience of both.

I'd say keep the 944 and buy a 928 when you can afford to have them both. They complement eachother wonderfully and aren't really comparable, the 944 is a wonderful lightweight handling machine wonderful on twisting backroads and the 928 is a cruise missile on faster roads.

If I only had one car I'd pick the 944, for practical reasons. But it really is like choosing if you love your son or daughter the most.

The 928 is a very heavy car, very heavy, however the engineering is quite something, 3d cast ally is not a cheap process and there is loads on this car, however the engine is pretty unaccessable, I think if the cars a pretty much even in things in/out of favour, but I think if you have gone with a 944 then you'll stick with it, I've owned both and the 944 is still the one that make me smile so thats the one I stick with, I'm looking for a 911 to play with and that might lead to a new chapter in my life, I doub't it though.

Great responses so far thanks guys..the 944s lighweight feel and nimble handling are what really attracts me to the car. Hmm maybe sweanders is right maybe I do need both the 928 and 944 to make me happy..hehe Ive never owned a straightline cruiser before not sure how much Id like it. the 944 seems to be much more of a purists machine more than the 928

Now, to the 928's defense it's handling is very similar to that of a 944 since it shares the same basic design ideas and has the same weight distribution. But it is quite a bit heavier, and it also has a helluva engine.
