Who the heck made up the term "you got owned" or "I owned you" or "xxx owned you" ???
Please someone tell me so I can smack them silly. I think that is one of the stupidest terms ever concocted by ricers (one can only assume ricers made it up), because it IS just, that, stupid.
Whoever made up that term just got OWNED by me.
What the heck???
Rant off.

I think they thought "rules" was suddenly uncool, had to come up with an alternative, and the alternative is lame (or is "lame" suddenly uncool?....).

i dunno, my friends and I, as an inside thing use the term owns, but never in the context of you got owned. Its just one of those things your group of friends say, annoying or not. If someone would come up with a good idea, I might say, that owns! or if you like something, lets say, a cell phone. "My cell phone owns." just a weird thing about my friends and i... Have been saying it for years... no relation to the OWNED negative conotation.

I don't think Ricers came up with the term, for that you must look deeper on the internet archives and you'll find that the first people that used it were actually computer nerds...

L33T! Argh!!! I hate when people use such abbreviations!
7urb0 is NOT Turbo (It's Seven-urb-Zero). Like brrt50cal stated, people who use the term 'owned' also have a tendancy to mix numbers and letters to form words: seems like regular English is too boring for them.
Some day when they grow up and start looking for jobs, they won't understand why people simply throw out their applications, due to the fact that they cannot spell for beans! Who's OWNED then?!?
-Z-man.

Agree with Matt. I'm also annoyed by the terms "kewl" and "prolly."

Translation: Wow, I guess that none of you are computer guys. If you were then you would know that replacing letters with numbers or special charagchters is a way of creating stron passwords using common words that are easy to remember.
