Air fuel gauge ?
What kind of of narrowband A/F guage is everyone using and how do you like it? I've never had much luck with the autometer ones but may buy one out of necessity. There's a haltech one on ebay right now but I think he's too high on it.

Why do you need one in a car where you cant control it?? Just to watch the lights show? Save the money and get a WB02 and a way to control the AFR. I think it has been sufficiently covered the narrow band guages are near useless.

Depends on how you use it.
I have a Lindsey one wired into my glove compartment. I'm paranoid following a head gasket failure, so every once and a while I haul it out, velcro it to my dash and watch it during some acceleration runs to make sure I'm not running lean.
I figure it's cheap insurance, I paid only $75 for it used.

I just purchased a map kit so I can control af and I need to get a decent idea of where I'm tuning it. Travis, How's the resolution on your kits I'll look into it tonite when I have a chance

actually it has helped when a hose clamp on the AFM failed and the car got REAL lean and would pretty much engine break - I looked and the AFM cam off the hose - $1.50 repair instead of sending it to a shop.

I have an Autometer one. They all function pretty much the same way, lighting up leds depending on the O2 sensor voltage...
Most gauges need ground wire, +12V (through ignition so it's not on all the time ) and then the O2 sensor wire. You can get all of these off the DME wiring.

The O2 wire comes right out of the DME. Its the shielded BIG green wire.
Badcoupe,
By resolution I assume you are asking what it reads out. It displays the O2 sensors output in a ten step bar graph. There is a more detailed picture showing how the readout works on www.rennbay.com. If you email me I will send you the full chart of voltage (start/stop) for each light and its corresponding air to fuel ratios.
