What a dumbass. Could have easily done a VR6 with more power for far less money. Clean install though.

Woha!

Nice. Do you know, is it rear wheel drive then? Think that a RallyGolf rear end was utilized?

Matt, it's hard to say without the complete story from owner's perspective. What if his "previous" car was a 944 which was totalled. Then the engine would have cost next to nothing. Seems to me this car was built by someone who's mechanically savy. Probably collected all the parts from salvage bargain deals. Net result an interesting hybrid with all german engineering. Hey it could have been much worse...like a chevy transplant

Pete - I know what you are getting at BUT what he accomplished was taking a car that was easy to work on and fun to drive and make it a nightmare to work on and who knows about the fun factor. It is different (then again I have seen a 747 converted to a house and I didnt think much of it either). I give a lot of points for doing it so cleanly and thoroughly, subtract all those points for the WHY factor! I have seen lots of conversions this one just makes the least sense (I guess to say you did it maybe?)

I think that is a helluva nice job. I like when people do the unexpected.
The only thing I'm wondering is--Does the strut bar have to come off to add a quart of oil?
