I used to own a 1971 VW Fastback Type-3 up until 5 years ago.....similar to the one in this pic (well, the one in the pic looks much much nicer)....one of the prized options is to spec it out with Fuch cookie cutters...they look perfect for Fastbacks

Does it not look like a hybrid version of a 911? In fact, my experiment with VWs was what got me started with Porsches!

i love vw's thats why i was on that forum, i used to have a 94 jetta..now its fty's brothers, anyway i just thought that its kinda tacky to put porshe wheels on anything but? maybe its just me. and the rice i was referring to was the chroming and bling bling vocab used in regards to these wheels. I mean wouldnt it be tacky for me to put 17'' konigs on my 944?

Um...those are Fuchs I wonder if those VW guys can tell the difference?
Here's a thought, all the parts are available to convert a 914-4 to a 914-6, the 914-4 shared the drivetrain of the 411/412 (sucessor to the fastback/squareback)....I'm thinkin' sleeper!!

______________
Dave-Are there even any type 4 VWs left?

i don't see anything wrong with putting porsche wheels on audis and vws. porsche has given permission for manufacturers like borbet to make their designs. borbet sold the c2 cup wheel in the 5x100 bolt pattern which is what vw uses now for their cars as well as older vr6 vws and audi tts. but i do think you should use a vw or audi center cap. kinda wierd to put a porsche crest on it. although, didn't porsche do an audi s2 back in the early 90's for audi that had porsche big red brakes and c2 cup wheels, both with porsche script or crest on them.........

here's a creative custom 928 wheel, its supposed to be like the old school vw pirelli wheel.

Take the Porsche center caps off and I don't see a problem.

I think porsche wheels on a vw is great, why not? perfect upgrade. As soon as I come across a set of tires cheap, and some hubs, I'm putting some spare 911 cookie cutters on my rabbit.
