Default Oil Filter

Dumb question...

I bought a few Mahle oil filters for my 1987 944 Turbo off one of the reputable sellers on this forum. I'm now changing the oil and realized the filter coming off is a OC75 while the new filters I bought are OC142 (shorter). Any performance difference?

Should I now purchase the "taller" ones?

lol always something...

The taller ones are for the 928, but they're both fine for the 944/951.

over the years some folks have liked the 928 filter because being bigger it has more filtration capacity = goes longer without clogging, not really an issue if you do regular changes.
