Thankfully, Autozone was really cool about returning the axles... less shipping of course. I ended up just buying the boot kits and am in the middle of repacking them now....Turns out two of the joint are messed up... and I still have to either buy an entire axle or 2 CV joint kits.

That's just not right. I'd tell them to kiss my behind.
As a general comment on rebuilt CV joints.......
I spent a bit over 5 years in the aftermarket replacement business and the only way I'd use such products is out of desperation. This is a market with incredible competitive pressures. Prices are dropping like stones and so it the quality. Most of the places supplying the aftermarket replacement chains (Car Quest, Autozone, Napa, et al) are having to hit price points only.
