What was the outcome of this? Did you find out why it was leaning and what the culprit is/was?

Awesome, I was thinking about this too. I've seen a mitsubishi 3000gt where the strut bottomed out on impact with a curb and it caused the body where the upper mount is to actually bend upwards. After replacing the strut the car wasn't level and they had to cut out and weld in a new strut mount.
