Default Clutch issues...

First post!
I recently got a Porsche 924s with a clutch that was stuck engaged. This is what it looked like through the clutch inspection hole - I've since disassembled it as I'm replacing the rear main seal anyway. I'm trying to figure out what would cause the above to be stuck like shown...any ideas? Now the slave is removed the clutch fork sits in the normal position for an engaged clutch.
Cheers, Pete

Could be the needle bearings for the fork locked up on the shaft.
