Default Brake Lights

Last time I posted that when I connected my rear defroster my brake lights worked. Anyway, I was wrong. Or should I say my neighbor. He was walking by and I asked him if he could tell me if the lights went on when i depressed the pedal and he told me ya but he mustve confused it with the sunlight. Anyway, suffice it to say all 3 of the brake lights dont light up. I've checked the fuse and everything is fine. Also the wiring next to the lights are fine. Any ideas?

Check the bulbs! Make sure they're all right!

I couldn't figure out what my recent lighting problem was and thus took it to the dealership. A few minutes and they found a dual filament bulb in a single filament spot which caused several of my other lights not to function. Want to take a shot at how much a dealership charges to change a light bulb? It only takes one tech.

Good luck,
Sach

Check the brake light switch, it sounds like it's not pushing it, or perhaps its a grounding problem, although your other lights work (I presume) so I doubt that's it, they have a common ground.

azndrvr, I changed my 3 globes and the switch burned out that day! try pulling the two wires off the switch (located under the dash pressing against the brake pedal lever) shorting them with another piece of wire and if your lights turn on then the switch is your problem
