Default Some end-of-the-season pics...

Gave the ol girl a nice detailing today, to commemorate the end of nice weather.. Snapped a few photos while going about my business, though maybe rennlist would like to share in some beauty shots

I'll put hi-res versions up if the public requests it.

Take care all,
Ian

Ever notice how some peoples wheels are worth more than the vast majority of cars (certainly vast majority of NA's, and probably more than I paid for my 951) on this list (that one probably included). It looks great (why they all black bumper?) though. Is the bottom of the lower door panel (passenger side) crushed a little? Mine is and it is driving me nuts.

Well thank you all very kindly, all comments and criticisms are welcomed.

Matt H- The all black bumper is mainly because after doing my snub-nose conversion, I figured why not take it one step further, black it out, and smoke the side markers? I was originally just having some fun with it in the short-term before the spring paintjob, but the black bumper has kind of grown on me. The more I see it, the more I like it, and it's pretty distinctive to boot.

And yes, my stock rockers are beat to hell. I picked up some boxed rockers off of a rennlister recently, they're getting painted and going on. One of the many winter projects!

we need some shots of our cars togeather before i put mine away for repair this winter... but that all depends on if i get a winter car also.

i still say those wheels make your car look like its standing on stilts. It just looks higher than it should be.

No critism intended. I just wondered. I actually dont mind the black bumper just never seen one. Any concerns about safety with the bumper struts gone/compressed like that? I think everyones rockers are beat up. I am going to have to have one of mine repaired as I am not a big boxed rocker fan.

Brett- I'll be in K-town soon, we'll do pics. My old man got his TT back, got new mods on it.. borla exhaust, 9lb flywheel, race clutch, sequential BOV.. to go with the stuff already done. You gotta see it, it's awesome.

Matt-
Right on, I gotcha. I'm not incredibly worried about safety.. The car doesn't see that many miles.

I'm not a huge box rocker fan either, but I definitely pick them over what's there right now. Even without the dents, the ripply surface of the lower panels is unattractive. Ideally, I would've ordered 968 panels from clubautosport in the UK, but thats $ I could be spending on a turbo engine swap, lol.

I think the bumper should be painted to match the rest of the car. Don't listen to what I say though its your car and it looks damn good !
