which sports car to go for - xposted
ok, as different ppl have diferent views this is being x-posted so scuse me pls !
ok, curretly s2 cab.
so "thinking" of next step.
either
1> modding car
or
2> changing car
if 1> thinking turbo, or super charger, want to take the current 211 up to at least 250, and more bottom end torque !
if 2>
my choices looking like
i) 944 turbo cab
ii) 968 cab
iii) other car, example, TVR V8 or similar.
in order of importance
1> Speed/BHP /torque and bottom end pickup
2> Looks

I can see this thread quickly degenerating into a wish list of cars. I think we need more parameters to provide you with better opinions, like what's your price range? Attitude towards p-cars? Do you enjoy wrenching? etc, etc..

For £5495 all in, 9m racing will supply & fit a supercharger to your S2 - 350hp and 326 lb/ft torque
http://www.9mracing.co.uk/html/modul...38&quickview=1
Or, if you want a torque monster, try a 928GTS - IMO the meanest looking car ever built!

how about a twin turbo supra, looks awesome, a little heavy but still fast...and you will never and i mean never have to get a more powerful car because there is just unlimited potential in that motor.

Eyal i have seen low milage stock ones go for over 50k here in SoCal... its freaking rediculous that these cars are practically worth more now if they are in good condition than when they were new.... There is such a HUGE market for the Mark IV Supras now....

For 12k you can get an 87 turbo buick. Add ATR suspension kit and it will handle like a go cart, add Baer brake kit and will practically out stop a 951.
Slightly modified engine i.e. turbo, injectors, fuel pump, new chip burned will net you a car that will kick the crap out of Viper, Vetter or anything else.
With those mods try over 450lbs. of torque that will break the tires loose at 40 m.p.h. as it shifts into second. Or 30k for a GNX that will NEVER go down in value.

cheers all,
ok,
thinking of staying with the P-car, but could be tempted.
in UK, problems can be with over modding (insurance)
thats why I was looking at 250 as a mod, or a swap, for 250, hence the 44 turbo cab or 68 (with some mods)
I like the ide of supercharging, but I dont got 5K so that might knock that on the head.
the s2 is a nice quick car but a "bit" slougchy" bottom end,
so, looking at th 44 tubo cab, whay can I sensibly do to get it quicker, or is it seriously more quicker than an s2 ?
also same question for 68
