Every time I'm riding in Tommy's M030 car I'm completely surprised by the ride quality.... and a non-sport stock suspension should be even smoother. If your car has adjustable shocks (koni yellows most probably), check that they've not been set to max. stiff... it happens, and it sucks... the handling doesn't really get any better, but the ride quality goes way down.

(it's not going to be family car smooth ever though! but a properly setup suspension shouldn't still feel too stiff, if it does there's probably something wrong...)
