Regarding the 968 rear end, check this out. Doesn't look too difficult:

Wow, that car looks like the love child of a Corvette and Mustang! LOL

That 968 rear end they show Sami, they don't show how much bondo it
took to blend the seam into the body. If you can do that mod without
all that bondo, I don't think it would be a bad idea.

I mean, you'd for sure lighten up the rearend without that big assed
bumper and bumperetts. Same with the front!

I love that look.

Do you know if anyone in the US makes that kit?

Has anyone done the 968 rear conversion?

Exactly what is involved?

I sorta like the rearend on that crazy 944. But way too much work for me hehe. Someone post some pics of the turbo valence just for comparison.

To me... Function is pretty. So The 968 looses out to the much more practical (from proformance view) to the turbo valance.. Painted rear lights are ok but just nice clean stock ones are better.. The rear bumper looks fine stock too.. (also asorbs 35mph rear impacts without damageing the car)

I thought this thread was about changing the look, not keeping it how it was from the factory...

Matt, I think that black car has a factory 968 rear end installed, as it says "porsche" in the bumper and the tail lights are all red... the ones they sell at the other url only have a line where the porsche text should be, plus the lights are slightly different (probably a copyright issue or something).

I really don't know anything about either one, I just think a 968 rear end is very cool
