"Kills Bugs Fast"
My wife and I just came back from a 10-day trip in Michigan. While driving back from the Upper Peninsula late one night, it looked like we were driving in the snow but really, it was bugs.
And yeah, I know people have had worse but I figured it'd be worth a post anyway.
During this trip, the car turned 173,000 miles, 174,000 miles and is now 37 miles from turning 175,000 and it ran without a hitch.
Who says these cars can't be durable...?
BB.

That reminds me of the secondary highways in British Columbia on a wet, warm evening back in '67 when I spent some time there. The roads would be covered with slugs that turned the blacktop into treacherous surfaces thanks to the slime and, of course, the carnage that results from driving over the critters!

Thanks! It was pretty easy to install. The original panel was simply held in by a bunch of screws. I had to drill four holes for the screws along the top and used the existing hardware on either end to hold it in place. I didn't reinstall many of the other screws but it hasn't been a problem. I think I also had to trim a little bit of metal from the car itself for clearance around the some of the vents but no big deal.
Finding the damned thing in the first place was the hardest part!

That ad was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the car the next morning...
Fortunately, rain later on in the trip washed most of the bugs off. Unfortunately, we proceeded to catch a cicada on one of the wiper blades at speed while on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. That was pretty gross...
