Water line connection 1992 968
Getting things to start coming together.
I hit a jam with the top hose coming from the radiator.
Where does it connect?
Off of the water bridge at the water pump. or on top of the head?
I don't have the hose so I need to order it and apparently it can be a combination of 3 things. Hoses or possible a hose connection to a pipe?
Any help wit picks is appreciated.
Thanks.
John

That picture tells you everything you need - if it's not clear enough, the upper radiator hose (#9) connects to the cylinder head. Some 968s have a long hose, some 968s have a metal pipe with a short hose on either end.

the big hose attaches to the front of the drivers side head.
the upper fitting....the vent on the radiator that uses the plastic threaded barb and the green fiber washer runs to the nipple on the pointed corner on the underside of the reservoir near the cap.
it runs along the frame rail.
you should probably use a pinch clamp at the tank as a worm clamp won't seal well being that small.
get two of the barb fittings for the radiator and two washers. throw the spares in the glove box. plastic cooling systems fittings = not a good idea))
since the car has been sitting, and you're buying parts, there are two O-rings that seal the cooling system inside the throttle where it slides into the intake. if the system wont hold pressure, these are a hidden leak.
