Check it out...graphics look superb and there is a thriving forum with free cars and tracks at www.racesimcentral.com and there are quite a few Porsches there already.
I haven't seen a '44, '51 or 68 yet there, but I have my 951 model close enough to being done (3D) that it could easily be put into the game and you can setup the INI files for the cars to make them perform as desired, so we could make them drive and handle as they should.
Not tried out the game, but it seems to be pretty cool looking and very active among users (hey, for free who wouldn't be).

hehe...goes to show you how much I look out there for this stuff....
Well, I do a lot of video and computer graphics, so right now I've got a GeForce 3 64MB under the hood.....would like to move up myself to something a bit more powerful for my work now.

I just found it....hehe....I got the 'Ring too! Too cool. Now I want to make or have somebody make Mid-Ohio, the first racetrack I ever got to drive ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I will have to wait about 30 minutes more before I can play though, burning a CD of goodies to take home from work here.
Now, since I have LightWave and can export to formats to get into the game.....what should I build.....
Actually, I will probably do another 944 Turbo/S2/NA/S/924/968 on mine and since I can then make it have my wheels or whatever wheels I or someone else might want. Then a nice 928 (that Koenig version I saw looked poor), a 993, 996....the possibilities are endless!

I've not tried it yet, but you apparently connect over the Internet with someone being host and the others putting in the hosts IP address to join that game. Not sure beyond that. I've messed with it for about an hour and just got it to play sounds for some cars (new version sound change) and finally was able to drive a lap around without going off the road....sheesh, that 944S2 setup is NOT like a real 944 at all....WAAAAAYYYYY too much body roll and maybe it's my joystick settings or something, but it's far too sensitive to barely touching it. I probably need a wheel, but right now I really have better things to spend my money on for my actual car....

the whole point of the game is that it is entirely customisable.
you can go into the car.ini of the 944 and completely change everything. You can lower it, raise it, make the front higher than the rear, adjust camber castor toe, you can make is a 4x4 if you want.
and you can, obvisouly, add your own cars and tracks at will.
it is special because it is completely open ended, as opposed to PU.
