Default Boge Inserts

Does Boge make different inserts. Just got off the phone with a parts dealer who can get Boge inserts for $109.00. This seems cheaper than I have seen around and am wondering if there are different models. Are these the ones that came with my '84 944?

The originals are not inserts they are the struts... You pull out the guts and drain the nasty oil . the insert fits inside, the cap holds it in. I paid about 55 dollars each.. been about 2 years though..HTH.

do an archive search, for vendors, pelican parts, tweeks, vertex, paragon pts.. They all can help you.. THese are the places to order online.. I have had good luck with all.

There is only one type of original Boge/Sachs insert (#944.343.059.00) and that should run around $75/each. If that's $109 for the pair, that's a great deal... almost too good to be true. KYB inserts run just under $50/each, but you should do a search here to see what others think about them.

The insert is a standard style drop-in type with an external gland nut at the top. You can fit Boge, Koni, Bilstein, and KYB inserts inside.

Good Luck!
