Default a little help needed quick...

I'm removing the intake to replace hoses and the dipstick tube has no seal at the bottom where it goes into the block. Its just a loose slip fit.
Is this normal??? Should I seal it with a bit of silicone?
Thanks

There sould be a small red o-ring where the dipstick goes into the bock. It kind resembles a real balance shaft o-ring only much smaller in diameter.

Other than that, it's just pressure fit, kinda like you described

Thanks guys...I shined a light and there is a little red O Ring setting in the block so I'm good to go.
