a perfect front end is worth 2500 every day, fenders and front panel are worth the money, but rusty and previously wrecked bodies vary according to what is salvageable on the bodies, but the worst is that crushers pay probably 400 for the metal
A little more cleanup. The floor pics look much worse than the floors really are. Just surface rust. OTOH, the hell hole is a bit worse than I thought but still not a major issue. It will be an easy patch.
That is a great starting point in terms of metalwork, don't see any major rust repair maybe a couple days of work. It will be interesting to see how the body looks after blasting. Be sure to do some research on different companies for the blasting, some people don't know what they are doing and will warp those panels. plus its an early car to me that alone is worth more, would make a nice 914-6 replica!
Is it a 70 or 71?
The back pad may have been re-done at some point. It is a 71.
If/when I have it blasted, it will be dustless blasting which uses water and keeps the heat down and doesn't warp metal.
did see some tell tale signs in the hell hole you'll get a better look at once blasted. but al the parts are available. I'm dong a father son project with my youngest now. Just had it blasted a few weeks ago
