Default latest Scottsdale C & C

Went to big monthly C&C in Scottsdale last Saturday... cheated and took the Spyder but there were a few 914's there including this one with interesting dash mod.
And an idiot in a roachy six conversion- when trying to park, he actually hit a friend of mine and his original owner beautiful REAL '70 6. My friend was a ways away but saw him and went running to the car. LUCKILY as they were two 914's the bumpers matched up and no damage... still think I could have killed him. Is it legal to shoot people? After parking, he quickly put a for sale sign in the windshield and walked off...

well it is clean looking. Always amazes me that owners install roll bars but have no intention of formally racing the cars. The 914 is very strong as is, why make the car less creature comfortable?

What's interesting here is the modifications.
The front bumper top painted fiberglass, the dash top omitted for a "custom" mod. The dash face custom, shifter steering wheel and pedal board, even seats. Not my cup of tea, but to each his own.

I would be a liar if I did not say I had considered a hoop behind the seats in my car. My thinking was just to add a little stiffness to the chassis and possible some side impact strength given the smallish size of our cars. But then we did the MadDog reinforcement kit inside the car and quickly discarded the hoop idea.
