Jerry Woods built 914?
Several years ago while looking for my childhood dream car (a 911 Turbo ), I came across a gentleman out of CA who had a JW built 914 making around 300+ HP.
The asking price at the time was $40,000 and though I almost pulled the trigger but I ended up going with my current '91 964 Turbo.
The car was perfect, I mean the stance, the interior not to mention JW built engine.
Does any one has a clue what I am talking about and where that car could be?
I think it was black?
Thanks

Best black 914 I can remember was one Chuck Stoddard did in the 70's- subtle flares, Italian white front lenses (which I quickly bought from Stoddards after I saw them on the car I think at either the '74 Pocono or '76 Brainerd Parade). Kind of a sleeper but a beautiful car. I would hope he still has it along with his 917 etc...

Might be this car:

Owned by Dave B of TRE. It was a customer's car, but the customer passed a few years back. Dave bought the car to "keep it in the family". It was featured in Excellence 3-4 years ago.
Regards,
Matt

Memory seems to be fading in my old age. According to Dave's post here on Pelican, the article was more like 6+ years ago.

Just call Dave up. I'm sure he would be happy to talk about the car. Though I doubt he would ever sell it.

I was delivering some parts to TRE Motorsports a few days ago and spoke to Dave about his black 914-6. Apparently his car has no ties to the Jerry Woods build. I guess we keep looking for the whereabouts of this particular six.

regarding Jerry woods 914
Yes i am familiar with the jerry woods car. I came very close to buying this car when it was for sale. It is silver with factory steel fender flares. There are still pictures of it on the internet. It also had a 3.2 liter. And yes the car was about 40k when it was for sale. It had well over 100k spent on it.
