Cool Collecting & loving Ferraris + 914s: Petrolicious' driver profile video "The Hunter"

Which sounds better: his 328 or 914?

Ferraris = "flavor of right now"
914 there to stay. Sounds better too.

I once drove a Testarossa, back to back with my 964 (cat bypass, secondary bypass), and I have to tell you, the 964 sounds sooooo much better. Nothing against Ferrari, would love to be able to afford one... but I love Porsche and would never let them go. That 914-6 on the video sounded so sweet!! Much better than the 328GTS.

Thank you for sharing, that was a nice find.

Nice 914 conversion, but why would he put those god awful front bumperettes on it (or leave them since it is or was a '73)?? I'm restoring a '73 and had the holes for them filled in when I had the bumper rechromed...

The 914-6 does indeed sound great, but I'm not sure it's comparing apples to apples. Having owned a 328 I suspect the one in the video has a stock exhaust (which is actually fairly quiet) and the 914 sounds like it might have a sport muffler. Put a Tubi on a 328 and it sounds like heaven, albeit very different from a flat 6. Both sound fantastic with the right exhaust.

Cheers.

+1. Having said this, I wouldn't mind a 914-6 GT with period race history in my garage along with 328 road car.
