Man that is NICE!

I keep looking at the nicer ones on Ebay and thinking what to do to bring them up.

Up on the level you did these are nice Porsches.

But I have the 951. And then I think I might sell it and go for a 930.

Or keep it and get a 914 to go with it.

But I always thought parts were hard to get for the 914. But most parts should be available from VW if not from Porsche right ? Since a lot of the items were sourced there.

Again very nice job.

Keep the 951 and get a 914, two Porsches are better than one.

Very true! As much as I love 930s, I definitely would have no qualms with a nice 951 and a nice 914 for about the same price. Heck, you could probably find a nice 6 and a Turbo S for the price of most 930s these days.

^^^^^

Thanks Jay and ECS. And I suspect it is true as all the 930's I have seen are up there.

I have a tippy top 951 with 92,000 on it and every receipt since new. I spent big $$$$ on it over the last couple of years to put it in the top mechanical and cosmetic shape with all new Porsche everything. It does have a few paint dings on its original paint , but just how it is. It has even picked up 4 car show trophies here over the last year.

But are parts available for the 914 ?

I have seen them to $20,000 but I was thinking $10 - 12 K would get me in. If not I guess I will keep shopping the 911 SC's . At least air cooled 911 everything is going to be availbale forever LOL!

I will have to PM you Jay and get you to point out a couple of the 914's that merit bidding or buying.

Not to hijack the thread, but thanks guys.

And again a GREAT 914 to the OP !

If I had one it has got to be up in this category . Maybe not overnight but eventually. Who did the restoration work on this car BTW??

Of course it brings me back in to the " you dont have a real Porsche thing."

If I have a 951, a 914, get the wife a Cayenne, and even a Panamera - Nope you dont have any REAL Porsches LOL LOL ! You know how it is.
