Oh, I've known Gordon and Cory for a long time too. That's why I had them did it. Top notch guy, top notch shop.
this is Paul Gutowski's old engine for anyone that knows Paul and Kim.

Good to hear. Gordon took a chance on me in the late 80s. I was 17, had been building VWs and then some e21 BMWs and sourced parts from Gordon. My parents both had cars that Gordon serviced. Gordon lost a tech due to an injury, liked the work I was doing on my BMW and offered me a job around school hours and before college. I was there when we moved to the current location but went on to work at other (Porsche only) shops, then the dealer, and some other specialty/motorsports outfits. In all, I have 20+ years working on German cars and it all started with Gordon giving me a shot. I took an opportunity with a family business outside the auto industry, but consider Porsche/Mercedes/BMW my career and would go back if I needed. Gordon gave me my first shot and I will always be grateful...my life would be a lot different without him (and others), but him primarily.

Not sure Bob. Your car looks familiar and I used to do a bunch of DE/test tunes with Gordon, Crown region, citrus region, etc, mostly at Roebling. I try to do Carolina's stuff here in the mountains as well as the 928 event and the Boxster guys here too. Your name seems so familiar, perhaps a DE coordinator? We may have crossed paths, but I think I recognise you from the Carolina's Region, at least in name.
Regardless, I will seek you out at upcoming events and meet a fellow Porsche enthusiast. I'm out of the wrenching biz now, but am eagerly involved in the community and thrive on the participation around our marque. It's been such a big part of my life for so long.
If you're ever in this area, by all means, let me know.
Kindest regards
Scott Woody

Scott,
As a PCA member, you get an email from me every month. I am the Zone 3 Rep here in the Southeast, so yeah, I'm the one that badgers everyone each month to go do things.... I was also the Carolinas Region President for 3 years '06-'08.
You wouldnt by chance know John Forbes would you?

John Forbes. Not sure. I have met a number of guys from our region that "summer" here in the mountains. Could he possibly be one of them?
Thanks for 'bugging' us. I appreciate all you and our other PCA officers do.

Love it! Thanks for posting more pics. I bet the car is a blast to drive.
No parking brake? I guess it is a full time race car, but you could go with 930 rear rotors and add plain old 911 park brakes to the car with a little fabercation.
Running full fiberglass, where else would you lose weight on the car?
Also I have 2 901 transmissions that I am contemplating on using on my car and am very courious to how they will hold up with that much torque.
