Took my 914 to an autocross yesterday. It had been a long, long time. But what a fun car!

When I got my car in the winter of 70-71 I couldn't wait to autocross it as I had been autocrossing in a '69 Beetle... especially gratifying to beat 911's with my lowly "VW" as many at the time didn't think a 914 belonged in the PCA. I remember writing a letter to Pano at the time saying I could have spent less money buying an old roach 356 but wanted something newer and more "modern." The rest is history...topped by 1st in class at the Parade in Brainerd in '76!! Still have that big rock trophy!!
I suppose I could still autocross it but prefer fun blasts down backroads on sunny afternoons... that car has to last another 40 years so my kids can enjoy it...

Been running Huey at autocrosses the past couple years. Got A6's... And got FTD at Carolinas Sommerfest Autocross!! First FTD for me ever. Only about 50 cars, but I'll take it!

Good driving! At one point that course went really close to a curb. I am AXing for the first time in a year this weekend with Matt. Should be interesting!
