Default Good source for bearings, gasket sets, etc

Kind of embarrassing but I haven't done much engine work on the 914's for several years and many of the places I've probably used over the last 40 (!) years are no longer in business. Finally getting around to restoring the '73 2.0 and am ready to tear down the engine to rebuild- what are some good sources for main and rod bearings, gasket set, etc. Also, recommendations for a good cam grind as I'm running Webers. Going to 5 bolts hubs so I can interchange with my other 914 so I need a good old front suspension from a longhood 911 and source for 5 stud rear rotors...
Also, anyone know if Restoration Design (in Canada) has decent stuff? The car unfortunately needs new outer longitudinals.
TIA

(I know Rennlist is kind of dead as far as 914's go, but there are a few diehards around here...)

RD stuff was pretty good and I'm guessing it's the same now. The guys at Paragon Parts are good and Jason is a 914 person. I've been hearing that getting good main bearings is very hard right now.

I have also had good luck with Jason from Paragon. It has been a while for me as well since I have ordered anything, but they were good the last time I did.

Brad Mayeur at 914 limited is a good source for the 5 lug conversion, he helped me with mine. I also think he sells a outer long repair kit. He is a good guy, his shop number is 309-694-1797 if your interested

I've seen Brad's ad in Excellence for years- maybe give him a try and he's not too far away. Thanks.

RD parts are nice but good luck getting him to answer the phone or return calls. If you can find someone who stocks his parts you will have to pay extra but that's the only way to get them. I finally gave up on him for some stuff and made my own parts. If you do get him to answer, order everything you think you need and more as that's probably the only time you'll talk to him. If anybody else made parts that good for the money he would be out of business. Paragon is awesome, Jason has helped me several times.

^^Was your experience recent with RD? I heard that the company was sold (maybe a year ago?) and things were better?

Go to the 914 Club or World site. Lots of enthusists with a wealth of knowledge and contacts.
Not many people( me included) like dealing with Automobile Atlanta but they probably have the parts you are looking for.
Try to insist on German rather then So American made bearings.
Performance Products in CA is another source.

Rejoined 914world last night- had been there many years ago and forgot my sign in name etc... lots of good info. Another good site is thesamba.com. Just how much time do I want to spend in front of my computer screen????
